The Rap Back service allows authorized employers to receive notification of activity on individuals who hold positions of trust, such as healthcare employees, school teachers and daycare workers, or those under criminal justice supervision or investigation, thus eliminating the need for repeated background checks on a person from the same applicant agency. Taking part in the Rap Back program allows authorized employers to receive on-going status notifications about current employees of any involvement with the criminal justice system. The Rap back system provides a nationwide notice to both criminal justice and administrative authorities regarding subsequent actions.
